Achievers vs. dreamers

A lot of people have dreams, hell everybody has some sort of dream, but what separates those who achieve their dreams from those who just remain dreamers?

Action. Doing. Pursuing.

You cannot just sit around dreaming of a better life, that better life is not just going to walk it’s little butt over to your house, sit on your damn lap, and say “okay, I’m here.” Hell no. But that better life is out there. It is just waiting for YOU to get off YOUR lazy butt, sprint over to its house, knock its door down to the ground, grab it by the throat, and claim it as yours.

It doesn’t matter what it is that you want to do, you need to be actively pursuing it with all of your heart. If you want to be a writer, then start writing. If you want to be an actor, then start acting. If you want to be a biologist, then get off your lazy bum hole and go do whatever the hell it is that a biologist does to become a biologist (I don’t know! I ain’t no biologist!) That is the only way you can go from a dreamer to an achiever. By doing.

What most people don’t understand is that dreams are not meant for the unconscious. No, they are meant for the conscious, for the active. Dreams are not meant to be hatched on a pillow and remain there until they die. They are meant to be carried throughout your daily life and throughout your every action.

Dreamers sit and dream about what could be; achievers take their dreams and turn them into realities through hard work, determination, and perseverance. They know what they want and they will not stop until they get it.

So, what is it that I want to do? I want to inspire, I want to entertain, I want to give the world a break from all the stress and ugliness that is present in so many places. But how? Well, I don’t know exactly. It could be through my videos (whether they be as small as YouTube or as big as an Oscar winning movie), it could be through my blogging, or it could have absolutely nothing to do with what I am doing now. But there is only one way to find out. By being active. By doing. By pursuing. By getting off my lazy butt and just going for it.

So with that, I welcome you to the blogosphere.
